Established in 2017, CVV is a university that offers undergraduate, postgraduate, PhD, and short-term programmes. Carrying forward the legacy of the famed Chinmaya schools and colleges, the university aims to educate students and send them out into the world as leaders by providing world-class education right here in India. It is the perfect blend of Indian and Contemporary Knowledge Systems. 

Offered by the School of Kalayoga, our MA Music programme is a two-year master’s degree course that opens avenues into the world of performing arts for naturally talented aspirants, and into the world of music for those passionate about the arts. Our thoroughly thought-of curriculum combines the best of Eastern and Western education systems to offer an unforgettable learning experience to the students. It has been meticulously designed by educationists and renowned performing artists who see the value of both, a university education, as well as the gurukula method of learning. 

This programme is offered only at the Chinmaya Naada Bindu Gurukula (CNBG) campus in Kolwan, near Pune.

We offer 2-year, full-time, on-campus programmes in three specialisations from which our students can choose the path they wish to follow: 

  • MA Music Hindustani Vocal 
  • MA Music Tabla 
  • MA Music Bansuri 

The main aim of the programmes is to help students improve their abilities by equipping them with the theoretical and practical knowledge required to make it in the music world, using cutting-edge learning methodology in a gurukula environment.

Eligibility: 

Any undergraduate degree with 50% marks or an equivalent CGPA, with prior training in Hindustani Vocal/Tabla/Bansuri as applicable. There will also be an audition to determine the final selection of candidates for the programme. Aspirants with an undergraduate degree in music and adequate music skills, or those who have cleared some formal music exams will be given preference.
