Expectations from Education

We all want a good education for our children. We understand that education is not just about gaining knowledge but should also earn them a living. We want them to be successful in their life.

The question is, what does success mean? How do we define success and happiness? One could say these are relative terms and subjective in their definition. Yet, there would be some common traits that could be found in these variations. Peace of mind would be one. The ability to bounce back would be another. Life as we know it, does not remain constant. There are ups and downs and we need to deal with them.

In a population of billions, quality higher education for all becomes a pertinent issue. Students racing for foreign education or getting into an age-old popular institution subsequently competing to get a job that pays high is a common trend. We also hear of these students losing out on something called life, when the going gets tough. So, what goes wrong?

Education is as much about gaining knowledge in the subject chosen as it is about learning how to lead a fulfilling life. The core thrust at Chinmaya Vishwavidyapeeth (CVV) is about inculcating this spirit of life, without compromising on the subject knowledge. A place where practicality and spirituality go hand in hand to create a holistic individual. With an active placement cell to take care of the earning part for them, the students have plenty of time to focus on their learning part. Why look at another place, when co-curricular activities become an integral part of the syllabus here? Why go searching elsewhere, when the global outlook converges with Indian wisdom right here. Come, explore life at CVV.
