From Faculty: Tips to always submit your assignment on time

College life and assignments are synonyms of each other. However, it is one such task that every student fails to meet. But what could be the reason? Excessive workload, poor time management, difficulty in understanding the task or something else.

Assignments have become a necessity in the education system. However, many educators feel that most students are tied up and have less time to explore their passions and dreams. It is not that the teachers do not give enough time to complete the assignments, but how the students manage their time in finishing their tasks also plays an important role in submitting the assignments on time.

Since its inception in 2017, Chinmaya Vishwa Vidyapeeth (CVV) wanted to become a university with a difference, and we have successfully achieved that dream. The forefather of CVV had a specific vision when they established Chinmaya Mission. They wanted to blend cutting-edge global learning practices with Indian wisdom to provide a truly world-class education!

Through CVV’s multiple educational programmes, we endeavour to hone good human beings who can fulfil personal goals while serving society.

A prosperous career is just one of the outcomes of enrolling in our UG and PG courses. We designed our courses by keeping the Contemporary Knowledge Systems (CKS) and Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) in mind. This unique blend allows our students to gear up for long-term personal and professional excellence.

During the programme, we support our students as they embark on a journey to holistic development and well-being. As our students, you could continue to experience the benefits of our education even 10 or 20 years down the line.

How do we help our students to manage their time, while participating in their favourite activities, watching their favourite shows and submitting their assignments on time?

1. Timetable

At CVV, we don’t expect our students to work night long, which is why we give them at least one week’s assignment in advance. Once the classes begin officially, we provide them with a course outline, the number of assignments they are expected to submit in one semester, and how many marks that assignment carries.

Once the student understands what is expected from them for a particular course, they’ll start working on some samples in advance. Starting early will help them understand, write, and submit the task on time.

2. Work on Longer Assignment First

Many assignments that you would undertake throughout your programme, will be longer, boring, and tedious. The best way to navigate the stress of the work is to make sure you finish the longer first so that you have extra time on hand. If you feel like you can’t complete longer tasks in one go, don’t force yourself as it will that not only affect your mood but also the quality of the work on which your grade for an entire year depends.

3. Avoid Interruptions

Yes, we know how difficult it might be for anyone to put their phone down. After all, we are all human a little Instagram scroll seems very tempting. But sometimes, you have to realise that putting down your telephone and not binge-watching Netflix might just be the right thing to do when you have a mountain of assignments pending.

4. Breaks Are The Key

Nobody can work ceaselessly for a long time. So, keep in mind to take a break now and then. Not only it will help you overcome blockage but also improve your productivity. Frequent breaks and some power naps can alleviate your energy. No, we don’t mean you can need a two-hour break; we want you to understand that small breaks in between your tasks will help you complete your work on time as well as improve your mood and productivity.

Conclusion

CVV is one of the premier institutes in India, with a noble lineage in education. And our value system is even older than our legacy! At CVV, we leave no stone unturned to provide our students with a hands-on and immersive educational experience.
