இயற்கை அன்னையே வணங்குகிறேன் உன்னையே நீ தானே அனைவருக்கும் தாய் பச்சை நிற பூமிப் பந்தாய் எங்களை வாழவைக்கவே வந்தாய் உன் மடியில் தவழ்ந்து, உண்டு, உறங்கி, வளர்ந்து இன்று, உனக்கே நாங்கள் துரோகம் செய்தாலும் வாய் நோக வைதாலும் ஆசையுடன் அணைக்கும் தாய்! உன்னைத் தோண்டினோம் பொன்னைக் கொடுத்தாய் உன் உடல் நோக உழுதோம் உயிரை வளர்க்கும் பயிரைக் கொடுத்தாய் உன் உதிரமாம் நீரை அனுமதியே இல்லாமல் அளவின்றி உறிஞ்சினோம் உன்னில் இட்டோம் ஓட்டைகள் கட்டினோம் பல கோட்டைகள் என்னென்ன வளம் உண்டோ அதை நீ மறைத்ததும் இல்லை மறுத்ததும் இல்லை ஆனால், நாங்களோ நன்றி இல்லாமல் உன்னை மாசாக்கினோம் மண்ணை காசாக்கினோம். எவ்வளவு இன்னல்கள் தந்தாலும் எவ்வளவு துன்பங்கள் செய்தாலும் மார்போடு அணைத்து மகிழும் தாய்! அன்னையே! அடுத்த பிறவியிலாவது எங்களை விலங்குகளாகப் படைத்திடு அல்லது, நல்ல புத்தியைக் கொடுத்திடு!
Summary
O Mother Nature, I salute you. You are the mother of all. You came as a green earth for our survival. We were born and brought up in your lap. Yet we exploit you, abuse you and misuse you. But you always embrace us with love. We dug, you gave us gold; we ploughed, you gave us grains. We suck all the water without your permission. We burrowed, you gave us buildings. You never concealed or denied us any treasure. But we, without gratitude, plundered you. However, despite all our plundering, you embrace us with love. O Mother, at least in our next birth, let us be born as animals or bless us with a noble mind.
